GAGGIA - GILDA second model |
The machine was
produced by Gaggia in 50s. Hasn't serial number and is characterized by brown
bakelite handles. Definitely is original the idea of the levers to shape as
"rabbit ears".
Technical specification:
· capacity
0,75 l
· voltage
220V
· dimensions 38 cm x 24 cm x 24 cm
· weight
5 kg
The machine
has a couple of levers and piston actuated by a spring. The shower group is at
the center of the machine and pushing the two levers below the piston rises and
allows the exit of water through the shower.
Can be
disassembled by unscrewing the two screws that hold the body that houses the
piston and lever.
To make the
coffee I followed the following steps: I filled the tank in mid-water and
inserted the plug. After about 10 minutes the water began to boil. I removed
the plug, put the coffee in the filter and pressed with the tamper. I then
inserted the holder filter, pushed the levers down, waiting a few seconds and
then I slowly released the levers.
