ARRIGO (almost a "rape of the Sabine") |
Most coffee machines that make up my collection I found them without moving from my desk so worth telling the journey made for my last "baby". After leaving Rome, after a hundred kilometers I go out from the highway and I am forwarding in the heart of Umbria. My son, with his youthful slang would have said that I was going to "culonia" (I do not know if I can explain the pun, in italian seems as "assland", a very far land) The TOM TOM had asked me if I was willing to do unpaved roads, but I thought that he was joking and he thought to the parking of my office from where I started. The last crossroads before get my destination, brings me back to reality. The road sign don't give me any alternative, you have to travel this beautiful country road if you want to reach the goal. I obey even if at the end of the road my car will have lost her beautiful black metallic. The village consists of a few houses and even fewer inhabitants
the movement of people is poor
St. Michael also had a shot of sleep
nothing is missing, there is the church
an original store of fruits and vegetables "hit and run"
rudimentary means of locomotion to roll quickly in plain
a impressive roost for pigeons
some terraced houses
and here I am finally arrived at the destination
ooops ... the house is behind me and Arrigo waiting for me smiling
I come within the cave of the sprightly little old man (very spry and not very little old man), the first things that I see, many models with steam boiler, its fixation
one of the many little machines
a boat with steam boiler
and finally the coffee makers section meticulously ordered randomly
and at the top, a bit hidden, the reason for my visit (I do not mean La Pavoni)
some of them are missing temporarily because are exibited in a local restaurant, including a San Marco "novecento" dated 1925 and a rare "gas powered" Faemina
The afternoon pass quickly, I grab the unknown machine and leave Arrigo grappling with another very rare lever machine, of which I show you the boiler leaving it to your imagination to find a suitable dress
grazie Arrigo!!!
